May 21, 2008- I am very pleased to report that the "Bunco Bash" rasied over $2,000.00 for the pantry this past weekend! We had a fabulous time, all in the name of a GREAT cause! Thanks LJ, Kim and crew for making this fundraiser such an awesome success! We now have our sight set on this Friday, May 23, at Common Grounds in Valley Springs. We are looking forward to hosting "Rayme" LIVE from 7-9pm!! Come on out and join us for a cup of Joe....and a little Rayme too!
May 13, 2008- We have scheduled a FOODSTOCK promotional event featuring "Rayme", LIVE at Common Grounds Friday, May 23rd from 7-9pm. Come and get a preview of some of the phenomenal talent we will be hosting!! We now have Dinner Tickets available for sale at Common Grounds and The Valley Springs News in Valley Springs. Hurry and save $2.00 on each ticket during our pre-sale window now though May 24th! Also, don't forget Bunco is this Saturday night....if you haven't gotten your ticket (Cash, Prizes, and 1 in 100 will win a cruise for 2), there are still a few spots left! May 5, 2008- The Banners went up today! We also had an article posted in The Valley Springs News over the weekend! The article highlighted both FOODSTOCK and the upcoming Bunco Bash! In case you haven't heard....The "Bunco Bash" is a privately sponsored event supporting the Neighbor to Neighbor Food Pantry. We are grateful to their efforts in helping us fight hunger right here in our own community. Thanks again Nick for running the article!!
April 24, 2008- Wow- I am blessed to be reporting that we've received several business sponsorships, various AWESOME Raffle/Silent Auction Items (Ski Lift Tickets, Golf Packages, A Hands Free Mobile System, Rodeo & Zoo Tickets,…to name a few), things are really starting to take shape!!
April 21, 2008- Great News!!!! A huge BUNCO BASH will be thrown May, 17th 2008 @ the Vet's Hall in Valley Springs! The best part is…. ALL proceeds will be donated to Foodstock!! April 16, 2008- We'll, we jumped off a cliff today! We mailed off the donation solicitation letters….! With a lot of drafts and even more prayer, we know this will be an awesome community supported event!
March 16, 2008- WELCOME!! Thanks for visiting foodstock.info to see what the buzz is all about!! Basically, we are hosting a radical music festival that is hosting: 8 bands and solo artists, 2 stages, an awesome meal, lots of prizes, vendors, fun and best of all….a GREAT cause!! The Neighbor to Neighbor Food Pantry feeds hundreds of people each week. A friendly gesture for the sake of humanity. Why you may ask….? Because God calls us to! The Neighbor to Neighbor Pantry is the only pantry in the area that serves anyone, every week, with no questions asked. We are also the only Saturday pantry open in several counties. Who are we serving? The elderly, veterans, single parents, working families that need a helping hand, your neighbors, your friends, people you know, EVERYONE!! This is an awesome ministry that really needs your support. Truthfully, we are out of funds for the year and we need your help to keep our pantry doors open! This is the driving force behind the great time, but it is still going to be just that, A GREAT TIME!! So please come on out, enjoy some awesome music, a great meal, check out some cool vendors and get to know some of the ways in which YOU can help fight local hunger!!
